Thank you for visiting my blog, A Discriminating Voice, A Virgo’s Search for Truth. I have tended an online presence since 1995 when I launched virgorising.com, as a personal web site to share thoughts and photos with friends. I instinctively knew I would like it as the public nature of the writing encouraged me to be honest. Maybe not brutally honest, but at least it was good practice. I want to know myself, but even more, I seek to share the truth that is most important to me. I hope that my public displays of “honesty” do not come back to embarrass me. But frankly, friends, family, and other readers, I make no promises. I am a modern, anxious, daring, and sometimes desperate woman of a certain age, writing here, willing to risk more for the sake of truth, so my gloves are off.
